The trust has appointed its first headteacher Katy Hanna who worked as an assistant headteacher for eight years at Belmont School in Cheltenham, which is a special school for children aged four to 16-years-old. The school will be called Sladewood Academy and is governed by the SAND Academies Trust. It will open in the former Severn View Primary School building in the town. The new primary special school for children with moderate and additional learning difficulties to open in Stroud has been named.
