This is the fourth episode where not all of the PJ Masks head to HQ.Marie and Jenny remember the time they met Luna Girl back in "PJ Party Crasher.".A hero always looks out for his or her friends. As her friends fall asleep again, she, Gekko and Catboy whisper their victory cry. The girls think their adventure in HQ was just a dream, and Amaya leaves it at that. Some time later, Jenny and Marie wake up in Amaya's room, and the moon dust wears off. Motsuki briefly teleports to the park to once again mock Luna. Catboy and Gekko force Luna to return the stuff her moths stole. With great effort, Owlette is able to enter HQ, where Marie and Jenny have fallen asleep. Amaya quickly gets her pajamas and transforms into Owlette to join the rescue. PJ Robot finds the PJs and frees them with his laser. Luna is launched out of HQ, while Jenny and Marie are oblivious to the danger they are in or the damage they are causing. Unfortunately, due to the Moon Dust, Marie and Jenny begin to experiment with the PJ Picture Player, and instead of flying to the moon, the HQ rocket goes out of control. Luna puts HQ in rocket mode and blasts off. With Jenny and Marie's help, Luna is able to trick PJ Robot into leaving HQ so the girls can sneak in. She then takes Jenny and Marie to HQ with the plan to steal it and fly to the moon. They rush to Amaya's house to help her, but Luna gets the drop on them and traps all three PJs in force fields. Realizing that something is wrong with her friends, Amaya warns Catboy and Gekko. At Amaya's House, Luna has Jenny and Marie attack Amaya with the Luna Magnet. The thieves turn out to be Luna Girl's moths, who stole the equipment as a distraction for Catboy and Gekko. PJ Robot alerts them to trouble at the playground, where several items have been stolen, and the two go there in the Cat-Car to investigate. With Amaya at her slumber party, Gekko and Catboy go to HQ without her. At first it seems Luna isn't up to any tricks and instead just plays with Jenny and Marie, but once Amaya is gone, Luna uses Moon Dust to place the two girls under her control. Amaya warns Greg and Connor about Luna being at her house. Then Luna shows up and joins the party like she did with Amaya's last slumber party. They play with action figures in the backyard until nightfall. The following day, Amaya takes her friends Marie & Jenny home for the sleepover. Luna plans to use this sleepover to her advantage. Then she notices the Cat-Car returning to HQ, and overhears Owlette telling Catboy and Gekko that she is holding a sleepover the next night, so she will take the night off. Luna is determined to get to the moon, one way or another. Motsuki is also there, and mocks Luna for her inability to go to the moon now that Motsuki will no longer teleport her there. The following characters appeared in the episode " Luna Girl's Sleepover": Amaya's friends Marie and Jenny get entranced and imperilled by Luna Girl.

The pre-print version looks to have better compression and a more naturally filmic look to it, but hey, it's never a bad thing to have options. Detail isn't always reference quality and some scenes do look softer than others but regardless of which option you go for you get a much nicer, better defined and more textured presentation than the old DVD was able to provide. There are some noticeable, albeit very faint, vertical scratches noticeable in the pre-print version that aren't in the positive print version, but both versions look pretty decent here. There are noticeable differences in color timing and in detail levels between the two options. Each has its merits and demerits."Īnd that last sentence proves true. However we felt it best to give the viewer a choice on which version they prefer. The flaw is minor and not present on every reel. We asked the licensor to correct this and they eventually supplied us with a scan taken from a positive print, according to them the only 35mm source that did not have this issue. The first, taken from pre-print materials, turned out to have a slight optical blemish on some reels. "We were delivered two scans for the film on this disc. When you select 'play' on the disc you're greeted with the following disclaimer: Both are framed at and each gets just under 22GBs of disc space. Satanico Pandemonium debuts on Blu-ray from Mondo Macabro on a 50GB Blu-ray disc with two different transfers offered. Some very Bava-esque primary lighting hues illuminate the hallways of Maria's convent and the camera does a fine job of capturing the gothic architecture of the building with some great, slow, lingering shots. Her belief in the devil (brought to life in a surprisingly restrained turn from Enrique Rocha) already strong because of her religious upbringing, it's obviously solidified in the physical sense when he manifests and has his way with her, which is something that her conscience has trouble overcoming.Īll of this wonderful weirdness is wrapped up in a very attractive package in terms of the film's cinematography. Sister Maria (who is very well-played by cute as a button Cecilia Pezet), at least initially, knows that what she's doing is wrong and we see her go through the motions of punishing herself for it, even if that same punishment yields some rather unusual results. The film also does a good job of toying around with the theme of Catholic guilt. It all works though - Satanico Pandemonium is pretty entertaining stuff and while it doesn't go as far as some of the other nasty nuns films made in and around the same era in terms of sex and violence, it certainly has enough of it to keep things interesting. This Mexican film hits all the requirements that the Italians laid out for the subgenre and makes sure it that it hits all the right notes at all the right times. Gratuitous nudity? Yep, and a good amount of it. Satanico Pandemonium has everything a good nunsploitation film should have and then some. Will the good nuns of the convent be able to help Maria save her soul or will Maria kill everyone and run off with the devil himself to become his bride? The Mother Superior starts to notice Maria's unusual behavior and it isn't long before there's a dead body or two appearing around the convent, obviously the result of some mysterious but evil deeds. Before you can say 'lesbo-a-go-go' the devil appears to her as a wily and randy sister of the cloth only to make mad and evil love to her on the floor of her room. She whips herself and ties a belt of thorns around her waist, as any good Catholic would be apt to do in her situation, but it's too little too late. She tries and tries to behave herself but by the time the movie hits the half way mark, it's obvious that she just doesn't have what it take to stand up to a man who turns out to be ol' scratch himself. Maria returns to the convent to get back to her nunly duties but finds that the man's sinister and Satanic influence is beginning to take hold of her no matter how hard she prays against it. After their encounter, his grim visage begins to haunt her day and night. One day while out meandering in the woodlands surrounding her abode, she runs into a naked and surprisingly sinister man (Enrique Rocha). She enjoys long strolls through the farmlands and forests surrounding her convent and is a friend to a few of the children in the area. Cast: Enrique Rocha, Cecilia Pezet, Delia Magaí±aĬecilia Pezet plays Sister Maria, a sweet little nun with a heart of gold who really only wants to help people and do the right things in life. It can be difficult for others to know what to expect with this person, as he or she may be bold one day and timid the next. It is interesting to note the aspect, if any, between the ruler of the Ascendant, for example, and the Ascendant itself! If the ruler of the Ascendant is square the Ascendant itself, we usually have a person who is unsure about how he or she should behave. The aspects that the ruler of a house makes help round out the whole picture. For example, the ruler of the tenth house shows what we do to carve out an identity for ourselves. It shows how the matters of that house are realized, and thus relates very much to experiences. The ruler of a house is also important for revealing what we do to “act out” the principles of that house. Keep in mind that there are many different interpretations, or possible manifestations, of house rulers in houses. The planetary ruler, or “roving delegate” of a house’s sign acts as a messenger, bringing the energy from the house it rules to the house in which it is placed. Houses in the birth chart are thus linked together in interesting ways. The same thing is true if Taurus is on the fourth and Venus is in the eleventh–the ruler of the fourth house is in the eleventh house, and the energy of the fourth flows to the eleventh. The principle manifests in more than one area of life, since the ruler, or ROVING DELEGATE of that sign, carries the message to another house.įor example, with Virgo on the fourth and Mercury in the eleventh, the ruler of the fourth is in the eleventh. The sign on a house cusp reveals the area of life in which the principle of that sign will be learned. The Rulers of Houses in the Houses: Interpretations. The Rulers of Houses in the Houses: Overview. 2D platform game, where the player controls Mario via the keyboard, running and jumping through levels, avoiding or jumping on enemies to defeat them, while collecting coins to earn points towards their score. The core game of Mari0 plays directly from the 8-bit Super Mario Bros. An update to the game titled Mari0: Special Edition was planned for release at an unknown date, however it was cancelled in 2015 following technical constraints. It was well-received by critics for its creativity and simplistic concept. The game quickly gained traction through online blogs and news sites, and has been downloaded nearly 1.6 million times. Wii – however, after they viewed a Dorkly video entitled Mario With A Portal Gun, they settled on the idea of including a portal gun and other elements from the Portal series. The pair's first idea was to implement a four-player multiplayer system similar to the one seen in New Super Mario Bros. It was made with the LÖVE game framework.ĭevelopment began in 2011 as a direct port of the original Super Mario Bros. The game features Mario armed with a " portal gun", the main game mechanic in the Portal series, allowing him to create two inter-spatial portals on 2-dimensional surfaces which can transport himself, enemies and other objects through them. It combines gameplay elements from Nintendo's Super Mario series and Valve's Portal series. Mari0 (pronounced "mari-zero" or "mari-oh") is a 2012 side-scrolling platform video game developed by German indie developer Maurice Guégan with creative input from Sašo Smolej and released onto their website. For example, subliminally presented smiling and scowling faces positively and negatively shift evaluative judgments of subsequently presented, affectively neutral Chinese ideographs ( Murphy & Zajonc, 1993). Presumably, the affect from a subliminal stimulus is diffuse in the sense that it can spill over onto a temporally adjacent stimulus. This subliminal assimilation is particularly effective with emotional stimuli such as facial expressions. Investigations of unconscious processing often include procedures that allow experimenters to assess the degree to which aspects of an unseen prime stimulus are incorporated into a judgment regarding a consciously perceived target stimulus ( Higgins, 1996). The goal of the present investigation was thus to determine if unconscious emotional processing has long-lasting effects in addition to previously described short-term effects. In particular, if affective priming remains operative for many hours, such influences on people’s preferences and social behavior may be much more pervasive than commonly assumed. Given the immense amount of information in typical environments that people process without awareness, it is critical to understand the extent to which such processing influences conscious experience and behavior. Demonstrations that subliminal processing of sensory input can influence how we immediately evaluate consciously perceived stimuli (e.g., Higgins, 1996 Li, Zinbarg, Boehm, & Paller, 2008 Murphy & Zajonc, 1993 Stapel, Koomen, & Ruys, 2002) are particularly intriguing because such findings highlight the remarkable extent to which human behavior is not necessarily in agreement with subjective intentions and experiences. The influence of affective information on behavior is notable because it can sometimes occur without conscious awareness of the affective input (e.g., Zajonc, 1980, 1984 Whalen, Rauch, Etcoff, McInerney, Lee, & Jenike, 1998b). We conclude that behavioral biases induced by masked emotional expressions are not ephemeral, but rather can last at least 24 hours. These results converge with findings showing memory advantages with happy expressions, though here the expressions were displayed on the face of a different person, perceived subliminally, and not present at test. Participants likely to have processed primes supraliminally did not respond differentially as a function of expression. Surprise faces subliminally primed by happy faces were initially rated as more positive, and were later remembered better, than those primed by fearful or neutral faces. Is this subliminal affective priming merely a transient phenomenon manifested in fleeting perceptual changes, or are long-lasting effects also induced? To address this question, we investigated memory for surprise faces 24 hours after they had been shown with 30-ms fearful, happy, or neutral faces. Unconscious processing of stimuli with emotional content can bias affective judgments. Stands up to adverse weather conditions – Exposed aggregate can also withstand exposure to all elements and extreme weather. Helps prevent slipping – It holds up well to heavy traffic since the surface is textured and has a skid resistant quality especially in wet conditions making your patio surface safer and reduces the risk of slips and falls. It has a finish that is generally more durable than stamped concrete patios which is another alternative. Very durable – Exposed aggregate patio is highly durable since it has the structural integrity of concrete, it can lasts 40 years or longer. Because of its unique, aesthetic look, it can boost your home’s curb appeal. Match your home’s style – In choosing exposed aggregate as a decorative concrete option for your patio, you can achieve a lot of benefits such as it is completely customizable concrete and can blend well and match any exterior décor. If you want to preserve the color and shape of the exposed aggregate, you can expose the aggregate by using abrasive blasting such as sandblasting or shot blasting once the concrete has set and hardened. After the concrete sets, the top layer of cement paste is rinsed off using a pressure washer or scrubbing it off using a broom and water from a garden hose. To get to expose the aggregate in concrete, there are several ways to do so – usually it is done through washing or spraying with water and brushing or scrubbing off a thin layer of the cement paste surface until the aggregate is exposed.Īnother method is by using a surface retardant spraying it on the top layer of the cement paste to slow down the curing process while the underlying concrete hardens. This is achieved through grinding or sanding the top layer of the concrete to achieve a natural stone and flat matte finish. Polished – Yhis method is most common for interior surfaces similar to the standard and topping method this is also known as honing. Seeded – This method is done by placing the decorative aggregates by hand on the surface of a newly poured concrete and then floated into the concrete. This method is used in upgrading existing concrete by applying a thin layer of aggregate mix at about 1 to 1.5 inches thick. Topping – This method is also known as concrete overlay wherein aggregates are mixed into a concrete overlay batch and then applied to an existing concrete slab. Standard type – It is the most common method which involves mixing or batching the aggregates in the concrete mix. There are several methods for creating exposed aggregates: Aggregates can be fine or coarse.ĭue to the unique aesthetic appeal, durability, and skid resistance of exposed aggregate concrete, it is ideal to be used in pathways, sidewalks, driveways, swimming pools, pool decks, plazas, steps, and patios. The common aggregates used for exposed aggregate concrete include decorative stones, gravel, crushed stone, pea stone, crushed glass, quartzite, granite, limestone, and basalts. These aggregates can either be batched into the concrete mix or seeded on to the surface. They sort of fade in when they spawn, and when you shoot some things there isn't a sound effect other than your gun. The only problem with control is the tank, and the best tank control is in a different setting from the best on-foot control, which is what I use (dual stick mode).īesides that, my only complaints would be rather insignificant ones: the sound effects of the ground enemies when they spawn or get shot are kind of weak and unsatisfying. I love being able to walk around on foot, explore and shoot, then get into a vehicle for a new kind of exploration and shooting. I really appreciated the mixture of vehicles with foot-based battles. But it's a largely different game! It's still very much a shooter with flying missions and submissions, but it has a lot more variety and non-linearity to the gameplay. I feel it's a rather good game whose reputation is hampered by expectations based on Starfox 64. It's still good, and you can add to it, but for most, the excess grease (foot missions) made it fall apart somewhat.īlasphemy to the naysayers. Which to most was like expecting a nice Fuddruckers burger where you could customize a sandwich to be as bland or as exciting as you want (SF64 level select) and being presented a thick greasy ghetto burger betwixt two slices of WonderBread. Common sense would lead us to believe that they would factor in all of this and give us one of the best rail/all-range shooters yet (with Slippy). Surely their marketers and product analysts have seen and studied consumer reactions to SFAdventures compared to the raving approval of the previous SF series and their own flight series. And who can blame them? Namco makes the Ace Combat series, which is the console gold standard nowadays, and Rare's ground-pounding effort in StarFox Adventures was blasted from here to hell and back again. Many (okay, most) people were expecting a ton more aerial action than what's presented in Assault. |
